Contemporary Issues in ethics
In this lecture I am going to deal with the issue of underestimation of religious ethics. It is a social fact that in the discussions on ethics and values, ethical principals and values are being exalted over the religious ones. Throughout ethical discussions when someone wants to make attribution to the sacred books his attempt could be strongly objected by rationalist viewers. Ethical understandings like objectivist , secularist or universalist all of them emphasize that their authority and sole source is the “ration.” This point leads us to the many essentials questions. They have epistemological characters and should take in the consideration by opponents of religious ethics. What is the source of ration ? To what extent ration is free from outside world? Is the mind solemn source of knowledge ?
