PHY456 Advanced Optics Laboratory
PHY456 offers advanced laboratory in optics, optical principles, optical systems and devices. This course covers a wide range of topics, including: Polarization, Geometric Optics, Interference, Diffraction, Holography, Detectors, Lasers, Fiber Optics, absorption spectrometers, emission spectrometers. monochromators and more...Lectures are suplemented with weekly laboratory exercises. Students set up experiments before taking the data to gain hand on experiences.
