AKE 316 Edebiyat ve Eleştiri Kuramları
In this course we will briefly examine the contemporary literary theories that have shaped the way of thinking and interpreting texts in the 20th and 21st century. Each week we will discuss one theory. However, according to our pace and necessities, specific theories might be examined in two weeks. Usually the class will be divided in two parts. The first part will consist of a lecture in which the key concepts and ideas of the theory will be analyzed. The second part will be a practical discussion applying the theory on literary and cultural texts. You are advised to regularly attend the course because it is a demanding one and you will be introduced to various new terms and ideas. If for any reason you miss a class or classes, please make sure to study on your own, so that you may catch up in time.
