FDE 204 General Microbiology
The course will focus on the brief historical background of microbiology and microscopy, eukaryotic and prokaryotic microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, parasites), and viruses; their classification, their basic biology, microbial growth, microbial metabolism, microbial genetics, control of microbial growth, the relationship of microorganisms to other living forms; with the laboratory exercises as much as paralleling to the topic of interest.
