History of Organic Chemistry
The history of organic chemistry can be traced back to ancient times when specialized people tried to extract unknown chemicals from plants and practiced them onto people to treat them for their several sickness states. Surely, they would not able to consider their work as organic chemistry but they kept record on the overall activities of plant resources which would be very beneficial for further developments. For instance, a compound found in an extract obtained from a plant which is called salix (willow tree) was used as a pain killer. This compound is now based to the development of very well-know drug, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin). Therefore, the further discoveries in organic chemistry defined the progress of modern organic chemistry in which the all living creatures have robust dependencies to the organic chemistry features.
